How Your Best Recipes Can Work For You

If you have a Great Recipe it can really Work For You!

You likely watch in envy as you witness any master chef at work. Or you have probably been at a restaurant or friend’s house before and eaten a meal that leaves you envious because of the incredible quality and the belief that you won’t be able to create such a tasty recipe yourself.

The reality is though that these master chefs started where you are at today with very little knowledge of advanced cooking techniques and ingredient pairings.

They developed their cooking finesse and skill through a lot of practice and even though you may not witness them do this personally, via a lot of mistakes and a lot of recipes that simply didn’t work out.

Whether you are considering a master french chef or a pastry chef they have all gone through the same learning curve and period of experimentation.

As such you should start out with something simple to build up your confidence and work your way up. Mastering that first great recipe that you become confident in making and that is you can create with top quality every time should be your first challenge.

One way of doing this is to find someone else’s best recipe from one of the many great recipes available online and slowly tweaking and experimenting with it until you produce the perfect dish to suit your own taste and that of others. Now talk about enjoyable experimentation!

Test it on your friends until you find that many people think it is great also.

Once you have accomplished this final task you too will become the envy of your friends and any other that sample your special and very popular dish.

Ugly cookies will not sell very well!

If you create cookies that are ugly in your kitchen then they will probably look ugly to everyone else too.

To be appealing food should look pretty and not ugly. With food ugly is bad, so avoid it at all costs, especially if you are thinking of selling any of the products you create.

This is why supermarkets and other food outlets insist on food items and even products such as vegetables and fruit looking so good – they have to have shelf appeal. It’s even the same when you buy a car – ugly cars do not sell and this is a proven fact.

How things look is extremely important and with food it seems that this is even more important. Even before we taste something we have to be tempted by something that just has to look good.

Although looks can be deceiving there is a very high chance that we will reject a food item, even if it is extremely healthy and beneficial, just by how it looks.

So if you want to sell the cookies you make at home try and make them look good and not real ugly!

And that goes for anything else you might make in your kitchen that you want to give to a friend or even provide for free to a charity event. Pretty food is always in demand and will always be picked and tasted first in preference to anything else that doesn’t look quite so good.

Having said all this I must admit that there is a specialist company I know that makes small batches of some very ugly cookies and sends them freshly packed across the country on demand. They manufacture the cookies in five different flavors which are immensely popular.

Somehow they managed to get a good reputation for their ugly cookies and their popularity has increased by word of mouth. But to be honest these are the exception rather than the rule!

However if you were to ask my kids, they would certainly say that all cookies are great however ugly.

Why We Need Vegetables for Good Health

We Are Often Told That Vegetables Are Good For Our Health…

And of course they are!

But for children growing up we all remember that one of our parents most frequent lines of advice (or in most cases demands) was to eat your vegetables!

As children we often wonder why we need vegetables and to be honest I never liked them as a kid!

The answers are many as vegetables provide lots of benefits and the reason why we need vegetables is that they contain nutrients hard to obtain from other sources. We need vegetables for a few important reasons including maintaining a low calorie diet and getting the vitamins we need.

So I always try to eat as healthy as possible whereever I am and even if I am in a hurry – no junk food or sodas and no extra vitamins nutrition supplements for me – I am what I eat and that needs to be the best for me and it should be for you too!

Vegetables are terrific at providing a low calorie diet and although vegetables top the list of “what do kids hate to eat” they are very important for adults as well. As a child you may be able to work off calories from eating easily through exercise, but as adults we need to put in more effort.

Most vegetables we eat pack an enormous amount of nutritional content into a very low calorie package and are also filling and thus you can satisfy both hunger and nutritional needs without packing on a large number of calories. This can go a very long way towards eating healthy and sensibly.

In terms of vitamins, vegetables are well packed with all the types we need as humans. These vitamins can mean we do not need multi-vitamins or other types of supplements.

Having various different types of vegetables including green leafed ones and others like bell peppers ensures you get the variety you need for a more balanced diet.

Eat your greens and be healthy!
